He seems to have settled in well, doing his normal run in the evening & as cuddly as ever if not more so in the mornings

Jessie has a Fitch 'bath' in her playbox which she totally adores but probably isn't as necessary as a proper sand bath.
It's worrying when you move them out. You do your best to help them adjust as best they can and hope that they'll like your efforts so I'm pleased that so far he seems okay with it all.
His set up looks so much fun. I'm always jealous of what you can do with your set ups.

Re: Tinwë the brave!
We do worry about them all the time! This move looks like a very good one and I hope Tinwe settles down ok but it sounds as though it is going very well indeed.

Re: Tinwë the brave!
Tinwe the brave seems to take to anything you do, I love your cage arrangement Cypher - this one is truly packed to keep your very beautiful boy busy. Could you do a human sized one for me to move into?
That pic of Tinwe in his wheel is so damn cute. I really have fallen in love with him.

Re: Tinwë the brave!
I think I'll have to have a word with Rodipet & ask for some bigger items so everyone can move in together lol!
He is doing really well now bless him, he's really taken the move in his stride & continues to get more confident.
In the evening he usually just likes to be in his wheel, running, grooming, stretching & eating all goes on in there! Or he'll just go & sit behind his wheel to groom or chew his toothbrush & generally doesn't like me to interfere but yesterday as I sat by the tank talking to him he came running to the front to see me & was sniffing at the ventilation strip trying to see where I was He got a bran flake for being brave & sat there happily munching away.
This morning I was looking for him in or around the wheel & couldn't see him so thought he'd gone to bed until I realised he was back in the same place standing up to get to me "Here I am silly mum!" then he came out for cuddles
The one thing I don't like about the Kerry is the barred top, it's very sturdy & works well but is horribly noisy, even opening or closing the door on top is quite noisy but taking the whole top off makes a horrible metal scraping against glass noise so I've cobbled together my own from left over bits of correx, playpen & mesh, it looks lik a bit of a heath robinson nightmare lol! but works a treat & is almost totally silent when it comes off or goes back on!

You are a really lucky ducky! He is so outgoing for a hamster it's almost abnormal!

Re: Tinwë the brave!
A real rarity amongst my hams Tinwë really isn't keen on veg so tonight I'll see what he thinks of sprouts...
I got some mini terracotta pots so they could each have a little sprout garden
I'm experimenting with growing medium, first up is Fitch!

Re: Tinwë the brave!
Oh my. Just caught up with this thread ... His kerry set up is amazing. I love the teeny terracotta pot, may just have to get half a dozen of those (one for each hamster set up).
So inspiring to see how tame and happy he is.
