Rubix and Amiga!
I set out looking for one syrian hamster. Ended up rescuing two dwarves. Not sure if they are hybrids or another kind of dwarf hamster as my area of expertise is more with syrians. Picking them up on Saturday at 11am. Amiga is the albino and Rubix is the not albino one and is a little less friendly than his sister but we can change thatm I have fallen in love with them!

Re: Rubix and Amiga!
Aww! They both look lovely, congrats
I would think they'd be hybrids, it's pretty rare for pure WW or Campbells to be up for rescue.
Look forward to hearing more about them once they settle in with you.

I figured they wouldnt be. They are being fostered by my local blue cross and i applied for both and got both of them haha. But the same lady was fostering both of them and I COULDN'T just take one. The other one would see the other leave and be sad xD. I blame not keeping any hams for 2 years due to uni for my getting all of the hamsters now. I went from 4 to 0 so.

Re: Rubix and Amiga!
It must be fun having hams again. That's great you adopted both of them, makes things rewarding. I never thought I'd like to rescue hams but since I did rescue Izzy it makes me very happy to do it again.

I have rescued a couple of mine in the past and i was determined this time for my hams to all be rescues. Rubix is a bit cage territorial but out of the cage he is absolutely fine and Amiga is just adorable. I think my housemate has claimed Rubix a bit but they are still mine

Re: Rubix and Amiga!
Been shopping and got food and bedding for them though i had some woodshavings left over from my last lot of hams so I have that to use up before I start on the carefresh which I am super excited about. :P Gonna use the hamster foods as a mix so they have optimum variety do you think that is okay?
Got burgess dwarf hamster harvest, a tesco hamster muesli and supreme science selective mix.
