Can toothless have yogurt drops?
So as you may have noticed I have a new hybrid hamster named toothless. I was wondering if it was ok to give him yogurt drops (he may already have diabetes but I have to tame him before I can test him.) I really hope so.... I want a good treat for taming that I can easily get. (kinda wondering if they actually taste good because many of the hamster channels on YouTube say they do and now I'm curious.)

Re: Can toothless have yogurt drops?
I wouldn't if he's prone to diabetes and I definitely wouldn't if you suspect he might already have it. I don't keep dwarfs but I'd look more at maybe sunflower seeds, mealworms or green veg as treats as they're much lower in sugar.
(Admission, I tasted one of the Rotastack ones because it specifically said on the bag that they were suitable for humans and I miiiight have had a few glasses of wine and it was very very sweet )

Yeah... I don't know... Maybe I'll tell my dad that there for him and just taste a few. XD

No, don't give your hybid yoggie drops. They are high in sugar- I don't give my Syrian the drops, due to the sugar content. Fresh broccoli, cauliflower, small piece of cooked plain chicken, toothless would probably enjoy, and is healthy for him .

Re: Can toothless have yogurt drops?
Absolutely not, there's way too much sugar in yogurt drops for a hybrid.
(Full disclosure, I have tried yogurt drops, and though they are a bit dry, they weren't bad xD)

Ok. Sunflower seeds and natural treats will have to do.

Yeah, I wouldn't have a packet with my coffee or anything but they're no worse than like off-brand milk chocolate buttons
My ham LOVES a little bit of cooked chicken and a few grains of plain cooked rice goes down well too. There are plenty of alternatives

Yeah I'll have to get him something natural and honey free... I'll look around a bit.

Re: Can toothless have yogurt drops?
Hopefully- how about peanut? My dwarf loves peanuts- I break the shell, break up the peanut, and you can either hand feed them or put the pieces back in the hams shell- get non salted, raw peanuts.
