Russian Dwarf from pets@home
Hi. Peanut is my first hamster. He is from pets @ home and was labeled 'Russian dwarf'. Can anyone tell if he is a Campbell's, winter white or hybrid from looking at him. Obviously he is white with a grey stripe which doesnt quite form a solid line all the way down his back.
Thanks

Aww, he's so cute!
He's most definitely likely a hybrid.

Any WW/Campbell/Russian without pedigree papers is a hybrid, he is adorable either way

Re: Russian Dwarf from pets@home
All the ones from Pets at Home are hybrid, but no less a sweetheart for it. You sometimes find they'll look maybe a little more like Winter Whites or Campbells though I'm not too knowledgeable about that. I love his colouring, I've a hybrid whose coat changes colour, wonder if you'll find this with Peanut!

Re: Russian Dwarf from pets@home
Hybrid changing coat colour is a WW hybrid.
All P@H are pedigree hybrids. The shop assistants will say they are Russian Dwarfs and the odd one will say winter white if it has a stripe down its back (they do at my local one). Truth is, they have absolutely no idear.
Cute ham though.
