This is very interesting Nappo, thankyou for posting

Some hybrid hamsters have more WW or more campbells characteristics which can make it more confusing to tell the difference

Thanks for posting this! Someone tried to tell me my sapphire WW was a hybrid.. LOL. She's not. I got her from the California Hamster Association who can trace her line back

I know this isn't specifically about Robos, but are there Robo hybrids? If so, is my Stormy one?

There are robo varieties, but there are no robo hybrids. A dwarf hybrid is a cross of various degrees between a Winter White and Russian Campbells hamsters, who can interbreed. A robo does not breed with anything but a robo (as far as I know).

as far as i know, roborovskis are not capable of interbreeding with any of the known species we keep as pets. your roborovski is all white, right? the all white ones, and the marbled/pied ones are new mutations that are popping up. they are not everywhere yet, such as i havent seen all white ones in person yet, but i know of a few people in other places that have them. the pied ones are here in california.

Thanks for posting this.
We bought our four boys recently, thought they were hybrids (and knew it was likely before we made the final call on buying them), and the photos at the start of this just confirmed it. We'd looked at them a few times but hadn't looked at this thread since we got them.
Looking at the pictures and thinking of our boys we're confident they are the hybrids we thought they were lol
Is nice to get it confirmed
