I think the doors are ok and its good that you have one door on the side and the other one on the top

The cage is fab in my opinion. I have adapted the inside to suit ( I hate the shelves) and find the doors are great - as I always train the hamster to come to the door to come out. She steps out into the basket. Size is good and doesn't take up to much space or look hideous in the corner. Love it !
