Default Hamster suspension bridge!

Just found this on ebay (I really should be doing some work!)

What do you reckon? I think most hamsters would probably ignore this, but some agile individuals might use it. Hmm wonder if the robos would like one....

I cant see that a hamster would care, I would worry about the fabric things hanging down being eaten or getting tangled in, I think it looks more like a bird toy which im sure my lovebird Houdini would like to play on

I don't think most would care, you're right. I did have a very agile Syrian once who was an expert climber though and used a rat hammock in the top of her cage. The robos climb a bit, but they are so small. I have some tubes dangling from the roof of their cage, but they have to stand on other things to use them!

Default Sad I know

I bought one of these bird ladder contraptions a while back for a very agile Syrian and he used to monkey hang on his enclosure roof all around it and never actually touch it! Gave it to my best friend's budgie George and she loved it (yes I know George is a boy's name!) and it quickly got pecked to a bit of a straggly mess!

I cannot give it to my Roborovskis to find out if they like it as they are liable to scale it and escape. They have tiny diameter mesh lids on their tanks and still manage to escape if they get up to the roof!

I'd be afraid for Bear to use it. If he climb to much he seems to hurt himself more times than I care to think about. I had to remove a lot of things from his cage for that reason.

I have one of these in each of my cages. My syrian bit the ladder a couple of times and has ignored it ever since, and my Robos have chewed the knot out of the middle rope and last night were screaming at each other because apparantly two robos can't touch the rope at the same time!!

So cute, I haven’t seen my robos argue over anything yet, But then I just bought them. I want to make them a fun maze of floors with cardboard I’m just waiting for them to settle in more.
