Bedding
I couldn't find any paper-based bedding around here. All they sell is Pine bedding and ordinary Woodshavings.
What should I do?
Will pine be okay?
Thank you

Re: Bedding
Have you checked any local horse shops or stables near you?
Or could you order from online?
Definitley do not use the pine bedding! Wodshavings will have to do for now atleast

Re: Bedding
Dont use the pine! The smell is too strong for them and can cause lung problems and beathing difficulties. The woodshaings will be fine. Some cat litters are paper based - have you tried looking at those?

Re: Bedding
I saw a Timber Meadow Hay bedding.
Has anyone of you heard about that? Is it a good alternative?
Thank you

Re: Bedding
I dont think that hay is suitable for hamsters, I'm sure I have read that its bad for them - but someone feel free to correct me if I am wrong!

Re: Bedding
hay is not reccommended for hamsters although some people still use it!
Simply because when they pouch it the sharp edges could injury the pouches, theres also a risk of eye injury too

Re: Bedding
Wood shavings are fine, but be careful with the pine! even the kiln-dried (or something along those lines) can be poisonous to hammies!
Check other places, like equine related places, they might sell megazorb.
people do use hay, but as FM said it's not a good idea!

Re: Bedding
Thank you for the replies, I'm saved from buying that dangerous timer hay Unfortunately, there really isn't any paper-based bedding like megazorb, around here where I am.
