My baby has grown!

I got my hamster Wellington about 2 months ago but I had to go back to uni for a few weeks and wasn't allowed to take him I just got back home for the summer today and have returned to find my sleepy, uninterested hamster has turned into an energetic psychopath! He's currently doing the monkey bars across the top of his cage! And he is HUGE! Problem is he is now way too big for the wheel that came with his cage and apparently there is a long wait for a wodent wheel. I took the smaller wheel out of his cage because his back was bending a lot and I didn't want him to damage his spine. I was convinced I'd ended up with a bit of a lazy hamster but now he's out of his baby stage he's a maniac and I don't know what I can do to keep him interested! I don't think he can go 2 weeks without a wheel even with plenty of time in his ball (he has just turned his bed over and is using it as a see-saw/catapult..). What should I do? Wait for a wodent wheel or buy a smaller replacement just for now or give him ages in his ball?! Help!

Well try to find at least a bigger wheel for a while until you can get the one you want to and give him lots of time in the ball i guess. Good luck!

You could look for another 8 inch wheel or maybe one of those balls on stands for him.
But plenty of balltime and floortime should help most
