Done! I have ordered a Sr. Wodent Wheel with black panels and a yellow track. It was a tough decision though; the red and burgundy tracks were so enticing! I find out exactly how much it will cost and send payment on Monday

Because that's the smallest size they sell for some reason. Besides, Brownie already runs happily in an 11.5" ball so I can't see the 11" wheel being a problem for her

I have heard several hamster 'experts' say that getting a wheel that's overly large makes little difference to a Syrian hamster. If she is already running around in an 11.5 inch ball, that is much harder to 'push' than a wheel would be. My Pippa runs in a degu ball as well and I have no doubt that she would be able to enjoy a wobust wodent wheel. Right now her wheel is 11 inches so one more wouldn't be much bigger at all. I say go for it if you're willing to deal with the cage mods.

Oh i see now that you were able to get a Sr. one. That's the perfect size and I think your ham will love it.

Shoot, maybe I should have ordered that Wobust WW, it was certainly closer to me Oh well, the modifications to the cage won't have to be as extreme with the Sr. model!

Thanks for sharing your experiences with the larger balls, I feel much better about getting Brownie the Sr. wheel now! Besides, she's a fairly wide hamster and though I have no doubt she could fit in the Jr. now that I think about it I'm sure she'll be more comfortable with the 3.5" wide track in the Sr.
