the super pet deluxe my first rat home, looks a fine amount of space.
I love the big door

I would suggest using ferplast tube stoppers to conect the two, but you prbably don't have them. Although ecf stock them and ship internationally!
If not cutting either the bars or the base then securley fixing a tube would be the way.

Hmm, that sucks about PETCO. I did search to see if they ship to Canada, but I guess if you're in a remote area they probably don't due to expense.

I saw that 3 level cage, it looks good but I think i'd want to have the top shelf wider so that a hammy couldn't drop the full length of the cage. For attatching cages together...in the UK there are either the ferplast or the FOP tube holders. The FOP ones fit habitrail/crittertrail tubes, so if you could find a site that would post them to Canada (it shouldn't be too expensive, they don't weigh much) then you could buy the habitrail tubes locally so it would work out cheaper.

Just in case anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative to the cambridge in the UK, there are a few places that sell the superpet rat cage for £35, I can't think of any readily available similarly sized wire cages off the top of my head (well there's the savic cammy, but that is also very expensive now!).

I really hope that you find a good cage Chubchub - I had no idea that the choice was so limited in Canada - I thought that it was bad here!

I think that the rat cage looks good for a hammy, and you give lots of out of cage roaming time anyways.

I love the Marchioro Jack cage, it looks fab, such a shame that they wont ship to you. Could you get it delivered to someone else? A family memeber or friend that lives in a location where they would deliver? and then maybe you could pick it up, or they could post it on to you?

My Miles has a cage very similar to Sammy's. But now with her running in her ball all over. the cage is too small for her.. I don't think she likes anything less than a 20ft x 20ft room.

I am looking at cages, she only has her cage now as a starter cage but she doesn't like it now that she's settled in and has access to the rest of the house in her ball.

What are you talking about, Hope? I think UK has everything and i mean
EVERYTHING. from cages, accessories, food, bedding, toys, anything you can think of, for hamsters. and most of the good items probably wont ever come to US and Canada. I'm jealous of you guys

A member offered to have it delivered to her house and she would send it to me, but I'd rather not risk getting items broken during delivery.

Thanks though, I know I will find a good cage soon!

Those kind of cages are too small for Syrians, ginap73. My hamsters hate their hamster balls so I just let them run around my room.

Good luck finding a cage for your hammie

personally I'd go for either the jack 72 or that blue 3-level one..there's a lot you can do with those, decorating-wise. c:

I dont know!!! I suppose that its a misconception I have from when I was first look at getting a hammy. All the exciting stuff seemed to be american. Exciting as it is I suppose that in reality its actually either too small, or not suitable for our babies.

I will try and appreciate our pet supply stores more!!
