Default Best Hideout/House for Syrian?

One thing missing from my Syrian痴 new cage is a hideout. However, I researched the best sizes and I知 having trouble finding one that has a large enough opening. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Much appreciated!

Ah, you're in the US. That's helpful. =)

My Syrian's current choice of houses include; Niteangel corner house, a cube tissue box, a teapig, a space under a bridge toy, and practically anywhere in the substrate he feels like burying himself. =D

So, if you look for something similar, you should find something that works for you and your hamster.

Thank you so much! I looked at the specifications of the Niteangel corner house and ordered this colorful one that has a similar opening size. I am not sure how safe the paint is considering she値l likely chew it, though? I also noticed the Niteangel one didn稚 have a floor. Do hamsters prefer no floor? I want to make sure she is comfortable.

If it's advertised for hamsters/small animals, then the paint/materials should be safe for them to consume, but I can't say for sure about that house.

Not having a floor is generally a good idea as it means they can bury down into the substrate, essentially using the house as an entrance to their burrow. Some hamsters also have the annoying habit of peeing in their nests, so having a floor isn't great, unless it's a ceramic/plastic/non-porous one. I have to change my hamster's tissue box house every week if he decides to sleep there because of this.

Thank you so much. I ended up getting the Niteangel corner house, and Fluffy is currently snuggled away inside!
