Default Demanding hamster

Hello,
I came over a syrian hamster girl who is given away because she bit two of the kids where she lives now. But I know the girls can be very demanding, so my question is: how do you keep the girls active?

Are you asking how to keep the Syrian hamster active? Because if so, using a hamster wheel, hamster ball, or just hiding treats around the cage can give her something to do.

Being demanding is one of the reasons why I stick with males. =D But, all hamsters deserve a loving home, even if they're a little bitey.
As for how to keep them active, I've just made a more thorough post here with ideas to help.

Has the hamster's owner any idea why she bit the children? Was she handled roughly? Or did they try to engage her in play straight from waking up? Was she provoked in any way? If it's more activities she needs, a climbing frame could be helpful, as could plenty of hides, and a sandbath. Cardboard tubes in her cage would also be appreciated. It might simply be that she didn't know the children and was defending herself. Handwashing with unscented soap before handling could help, and running their hands through the substrate. Also, make sure that the substrate is deep enough for tunneling.

Hamster balls generally are not liked among hamster owners - their feet can get trapped, and it's thought that hamsters are not happy in them.

I just know that the children did have their hands in her cage. She is over a year old. I feel so bad for her as she dont get much interaction in her home now.
