Hello! I just got a Syrian hamster a couple weeks ago and I made a bin cage for it but would really like to make something nicer and bigger out of wood. I did a quick google search and looked at the first few results but can't find anything more than 2 or 3 different plans. Does anyone happen to have links to any other plans other than what comes up on the first few results of a google search? Thank you!
To be honest, wooden cages aren't the best. Some hamsters can get very determined and chew their way out and wood can easily soak up smells, even with super deep bedding..mould can be an issue.
You also have to get safe wood so making your own usually ends up quite costly than buying a premade
