Default Solid bits in bed shavings

I have just received my order for Niteangel aspen shavings. I was originally using the PaH wood shavings to line the bottom of the enclosure but invested in the NA aspen as I thought it would be better and was hoping it be softer. However I notice that even this has some solid pieces in it.
So just wanted to ask, do I have to manually pick out the bits of solid each time I get a new bag of shavings so that it doesn't hurt my hammy, or will she be ok with the small amounts of solid through it? Obviously I pick out what I can, but will it harm her if I don't pick it all out?
It's just to layer the bottom, the rest of her enclosure is kaytee paper. Thanks.
