My Skyline Ranch playpen is back in stock at Zooplus if anyone is interested. IUnfortunately the price has gone up a lot (like with most hamster things). I'm sure I paid £25 for mine originally! It's now £44.99. But still £5 cheaper than the Happy Henry version (which is very similar and the same size).

Ooh yes, that's Newt - I'd forgotten I posted that photo . I have never had a problem with a hamster "walking through the door". The doors are firmly fixed in place - unless you push them out. At least the Happy Henry one doesn't have those doors though. I guess the advantage is, if you wanted to push a door out you could have two next to each other or something (which would be expensive!).

It is a beautiful picture of him.
That is why the review sounded so funny. Like the hamster opened the door with a paw and walked out! Lol.
Haven't had a hamster use the door lugs to climb out either - I guess it's possible but you have to supervise of course. Raffy did work out how to jump off something in the playpen and hurl himself at the side then cling on to the top and climb over! But I just removed his launching pad

Thank you - yes he was just a sweet little baby at the time. I think he was the first hamster to have the playpen. Our hamster before that was free roaming as older.
Here's a video of Newt in that playpen ..................Someone commented on it that I shouldn't have carpet in my hamster cage - lol. Had to explain it was a playpen.
You can see Newt is looking to see if he can get over the top of the playpen by running up the flying saucer He finally gets to the top of the saucer and then does a little victory roll
I bit the bullet and bought a second one - so Pip can come out more. It's not fair that Raffy hogs the current playpen every night. Ouch. I really don't like paying that much for a playpen - but they are good. Mine is still going strong after 5 years.

What a stunning hamster! He looks so curious and playful. He was very determined to work out how the saucer worked.
Quite funny somebody thought you had a carpet in his cage.
Aw I hope Pip enjoys going in his playpen. I look forward to photos.
