Sterilite 1987 - Tree Box Rocket Red 19876602
It comes back in stock again once holiday season hits. Hope this helps! So even if you make a temporary bin, you can always upgrade to this one later!

thank you! I can only dream of having space like that right now lol but I will definitely save it in case I can upgrade, thanks so much for going through the trouble of finding it!

if you have a look, i think her 200qt bin setups are amazing
Also, not many of us have the room for a 2m cage, the ultimate dream maybe

wow, this is so helpful, thank you! I agree I think set up can make a huge difference. I always felt like it was better to have a lot of enrichment, levels, etc in a smaller cage then an empty big cage. as long as its still the minimum of 600 sq in of course

However, i have made many bin cages for rescues.
I'd calculate the cost at this point. Cost of a large storage box, mesh and cable ties or staples and a staple gun. You'd need to cut out and mesh the lid, a window and a back vent to allow for sufficient ventilation. You'd need a cutting tool, i use a Dremel and an electric drill if you use cable ties. It does require basic DIY skills to do a proper job.

I am definitely intimidated by the thought of making this cage, but I decided I might as well try. my dad's a contractor and pretty good with tools so I'm relying on him to help out if I get stuck

Get your dad to do it for you. With the right tools its easy and won't take long to do. I don't know how people cut plastic without power tools. With the right tool you get a nice clean straight edge that only needs a bit of sandpaper to smooth it down.

will do! I don't know how willing he'll be able to do it but I'm kind of hoping that once he sees me struggling, he'll just take over. also, he won't admit it, but we all know that he loves the hamsters just as much as we do
