I don't know - I just know the Ponal is non toxic and virtually odourless, so no fumes. It has a very slight smell initially but that's quite pleasant! I got it originally because I was so cautious and it's what the German hamster owners used on their wood items as being safe. Someone did comment once, that any strong wood glue is ok, once the fumes have dissipated and providing there's no visible glue to chew on. But I really like the Ponal! And I don't like fumes myself. No idea how long they would take to dissipate completely. I don't really know what evostick is like.

Re: Savic top door
Plaza looks great and familiar layout for him! With the roof tube run it very much depended on the angle/placement of the sputnik - the tube would only go across at an angle so one end led into one side of the sputnik - and then I had to work a shelf at the other end where the tube ended. I used sisal string to attach them to the roof in the Plaza to get them hanging at the right height - they didn't move around because one end was resting on the shelf. It did create a roof run for them Kind of wish I'd done it in Raffy's cage, but wanted a change. The other thing was it helped prevent falls from the roof onto any harder items - so they would sit under the tube.
Not sure the roof tube would work well with a top door though. I did do it in the Barney cage but had to get my hands "round" the tube either side when doing things through the top door!

Re: Savic top door
Looks great Ria, I'm always in awe by how much stuff you manage to put in to your cage setups.
Attaching the silent runner to the back of the savic plaza was always the hardest thing to do, unless there are two of you , you have to take the barred bit off and turn it upside down to attach it if you are on your own, then flip it upright. There is no way your hands can reach inside through the front door and round the back to hold it in place to attach it.

Re: Savic top door
There is room for more but i didn't want to clutter up the cage too much. See what he does and what he uses. I can always slightly reposition his furniture later.
I think a sputnik - tube - shelf combo would need to be set up first and then the rest added around it. Probably wouldn't work with the top door and the 12in wheel.

Re: Savic top door
I think you're right. I found it worked with the 12" wheel - depending where the wheel is, but it probably wouldn't work that well with the top door.

Re: Savic top door
I spent ages trying to decide where to place the wheel and it would work with the wheel on the left, running along the back i think.
In the end i decided to stick to the previous set up.
Is the door on the Plaza always so stiff? It's secure alright but i have a job opening it. Closing it seems to be easier. Could be me though.

Re: Savic top door
I have one Plaza where the door opens and closes smoothly. My latest one the door is stiff to close at one end and very difficult to do it quietly - which Raffy doesn't like although I'm getting better at doing it a bit more quietly. It's as if one of the clasps at one end is not quite at the right angle. I tried bending it abit which helped.
This is my third plaza. I still have the original - door fine. One had an accident - door was fine. It's my recent one that has the door a bit stiff at one side - since the pandemic!

Re: Savic top door
Nothing's the same since the pandemic.
I'm slowly getting the knack of it by pushing the bar down with my finger and opening the clasp at the same time.
