Re: Savic Plaza perspex!
what a genius idea and what a great find Serendipity, for those that already have those cages and end up with an incessant bar bitter, and if you aren't good or don't have the tools for diy cages. cheaper and lighter than buying tanks

Re: Savic Plaza perspex!
Would the front panel with the door fit the top of the Plaza?
If it does, one could add a top door and leave the rest as it is with bars. I'm going to contact them to find out.
Thank you for that Serendipity!

Re: Savic Plaza perspex!
They don't do a top panel with a door for the Plaza (why not?) but they responded quickly.
I'm wondering if i could diy one with a door using perspex since i have the tools, hmm....

That would have been a great idea! Just adding a top door to the barred cage. Although maybe the perspex would be a bit heavy for the top - with it being a knockdown cage. You could add a door though - if you have a spare door and are prepared to cut the cage! I've thought about that before with some cages. Never got to that stage though. I don't have the right equipment (and might mess it up) - I seem to remember someone saying a dremel was good for those kind of jobs.

I have a Dremel with discs for cutting plastics and metal. I've cut metal before and plenty of plastic making bin cages.
I'm now thinking along the lines of using a front or top panel with a door from an Alaska then cut the top of a Plaza to size and attach the Alaska panel securely with cable ties.
I still wished i could get a strong, solid cage like a Hamster Heaven in a bigger size instead of a foldaway job like the Alaska and Plaza.
What's the Mamble 100 cage like that's shown on this website?

It's a better option than a maxi duna multy isn't it? Although quite a bit more expensive for the cage plus the perspex panels. But taller too and with a front opening door. And cheaper than a glass tank (which doesn't have a front opening door).
I'm almost tempted - except I don't need to replace the bars ha ha.

That's funny. It would be cool to have one to see how well it goes. Having just spent weeks on building a komplement cage, this would have been easier to do, work out way lighter and slightly cheaper (if you already had the cage) 🙃
Although the komplement works out 8cm taller, 11cm more depth but a few cm
Less than 100cm, think its 97cm. I think this business has potnetial, deffinetly will share it. Thanks for bringing it to our attention

Yes, it soon adds up.
I must price the perspex panels from Ikea people use for their Linmons.
