Re: Do I have enough items?
These items all look amazing for your hamster! is there any possible chance you can link where you bought items from as i’m setting up a new enclosure but i’m struggling to find where to find the bridges/ branches etc

Re: Do I have enough items?
Your hamster is going to love all this. But to answer your question of 'do I have enough items', well, you can never have too many

Re: Do I have enough items?
How many hamsters are you getting again? You have plenty of amazing stuff there. Have you got hamster food?! You might want more substrate as well. If it's a large cage to fit all those items - although hard to see what size bag you have on the photo. Another thing that can be good is using two mixed substrates (eg the aspen mixed with a paper substrate like Fitch or Kaytee Clean and Cosy). Hamsters tend to like foraging out bits of the paper bedding as well then, to take to the next.
I agree about getting a toilet. All our Syrians have used them (if you put them in the right place) - makes life a lot easier for both you and the hamster - cage stays clean and dry and you empty the potty litter tray/toilet once or twice a week. If it's in a labyrinth house a dwarf hamster might use it as well. Our robo pee'd wherever until I gave him a labyrinth house and then he actually used the litter tray inside it (they do seem to like dark ensuite bathrooms!).
I've been getting these for years. They fit in a corner, hamsters seem to like them, they're easy to get in and out of. I've had the rodipet ceramic ones as well - they can sink a bit more in the substrate (and break if dropped!).

I have not got the food yet but will be doing so next week. I wanted to leave it until the last minute to ensure it is fresh. I have 4 bags of 85 litres kaytee ckean and cosy. Thank you for the tips.

Did your OH work out an ingredients list for a hamster mix? Did he have to work out separate ones for a Syrian and dwarf to cater for both species and your sesame allergy?
I suppose you had to source all the ingredients, keep them sealed in their packaging until you get your hamster and then make it up.
Just be aware that when you get a hamster there may be food in the bedding which may contain sesame seeds, especially if it's a dwarf hamster.
A rescue or someone who rehomes would hand the hamster over with some bedding because it helps them to settle in.
If you get one from the small ads you may be given the cage as well but i have also had hamsters handed to me quite literally from hand to hand.

Re: Do I have enough items?
Wow! Your little guy is going to be one lucky pet. You’ve got all you need for sure. I do love a bendy bridge as a divider though. I’d grab one with no gaps in between so paws don’t get stuck- niteangel do one. Only suggesting as because you have so many substrates, you could do tiny levels with a different substrate on each one so you can show off what you have. Yeah, you’ve really got it all. Brilliant

Thank you for the warning. He has complied a list of ingredients but has not bought any yet. We are thinking of a dwarf or robo so he will make the food accordingly.
We have actually messaged a few people from small ads who sounded really desperate to rehome their hamsters. None replied.
