Default All Living Things Multi Level Hamster Home - Ideal for Hamster or Mice

hi, I was wondering if anyone has experience with this cage? it seems to be very similar to the ferplast one (same design, dimensions, etc) that I know is very popular, but its cheaper so if it's a good one, I'd rather get this one.If anyone has used this cage before, I would really appreciate if you can let me know if it worked out well. thank you!

I personally wouldn't go with that cage. The dimensions are extremely small if I'm honest(barely bigger than a 10 gallon tank which is beyond too small for any hamster species to live in long term). The overall cage design isn't that great either. You generally want a cage that'll easily allow you to set up platforms etc in a way that doesn't interrupt room for a properly sized wheel and other things while still allowing for good substrate depth and this one really wouldn't do that.

It could be a good vacation cage for travel purposes(not to physically travel with the hamster in - that requires a secure small carrier as you don't want hamsters being thrown about in cars etc and getting injured which is very possible even for the most careful of drivers). Even then, Petsmart is charging $89.99 for this cage and that's pretty ridiculous for just a travel cage which is all it really would work for.

You can order the Savic Hamster Heaven Metro through Petsupermarket in the US for just $99.99 which is far more reasonable, and that cage has a significantly better design even though all the plastic bits can't really be used. It's currently out of stock online unfortunately through them, though you could potentially order it elsewhere too.

It looks way too small for a Syrian because you couldn't fit a 28cm wheel in and it looks too small even for a tiny dwarf.

I made the mistake and bought a cage that was too small for my first hamster so had to upgrade cage and wheel. I could have saved myself quite a bit of money by buying a decent cage in the first place.

It is too small for any species of hamster, sadly it may be popular but it is not a suitable cage at all.
Munchies place talks about the ferplast version in this video about 3 or 4 mins in

If you are in the States you might want to look at the prevue 528, savic plaza, niteangel cages. Albeit some of these are expensive and might be out of stock at the moment.

This is a video that shows lots of suitable cages or ideas for cages, some may still be available where you live even if it is not in the UK. A good idea is to look out for 2nd hand ones as they will be much cheaper. Hope it helps.

thank you so much everyone for the replies, they were very helpful. I'll definitely start looking at second hand cages because unfortunately its very hard to get good hamster cages here... someone had mentioned in a review (not on hamster central) that it was a bigger cage than a 20 gallon so thats why i thought it would be fine, but if its barely bigger than a 10 gal i definitely wont be getting it. thank you!
