Default Does this look unsafe?

Doing last minute changes for Shauns cage begore pickup tomorrow.

I found a tube I used to use for my rats, gave it a good scrub and put it in, but now I think it might look abit unsafe?

For a sandbath he will get a jar frok Ikea that my old hanster fenris used, its a genious sandbath! Now I just gotta find some suitable sand, all I can find that is not sold out is chinchilla dust…

Is it attached to anything? If so should be ok, if no then maybe look to see if you can attch it with some sisal/jute string or other safe means.
The only other thing to do is just keep an eye on if your hamster tries to climb up on the outside of it. I have sometimes had to adjust tubes for that reason.

I was going to mention the second shelf. It needs something like this 55cm Trixie ladder to lead up and down to it so he can't fall or jump off.

You could probably use the green ladder that comes with the cage.

Ooh yes I have that in a shopping cart online! I need to just check it out and have it delivered. I was also thinking of perhaps removing the second shelf and make the lip higher on it and put it back in a few weeks.

Hubby figured out the wheel, we will cable tie it to the roof cause its so wobbly on the stand and we cant get it off to attach to the bars

I've done that before and cabletied a wheel upsidedown to the ceiling. Just remember to secure the wheel to the stand with a cabletie as well.

The Ikea jar is great for a sand bath. All ours love theirs. Chinchilla dust you can't use but i believe that reptile sand without calcium would be ok. Many people use children's playsand but that needs to washed and baked first.
