I'd say the 145l Really Useful Box as well - it's good for a Syrian as deeper than most floorspace wise. It might only be just over 80cm wide but it's about 60cm deep. Others have said it's one of the best ones to cut as well. Easier than most. Has a nice flat lid too.
Do you definitely want a bin cage because the Savic Plaza is a good cage for a Syrian too
Costs more though. Although the manufacturers are selling it for £48, it's on at £35 from Asda (if they have them in stock). But there are two versions. The one linked below is clear (better for seeing the hamster through). The other one is white (and the Asda one is white).

Cagewise there's the Hamster Heaven or Sky (80cm by 50cm but has a nice big front door). Although technically smaller than the 145l bin,it has more useable space IMO - around the bars area and things can be attached to the bard or roof. Or - a better size, the Savic Plaza (100cm x 50cm and also has a nice big front door).
I prefer cages with big front doors - better for interaction with the hamster and taming.

Savic plaza is out of stock at PEts at Home though and quite a bit more expensive on Amazon.
