how often should i clean the ikea detolf? :)

if anyone owns the detolf, how often should it be cleaned ? and what should i do if i don’t know else my hamster potties??

Be guided by your nose. If something smells bad then clean it otherwise leave well alone.

Does your hamster have a sandbath? They often pee in it.

I have a detolf. I've just cleaned it for the first time in the lifetime of my current two hams, so that's 6 weeks. But as Ria says, be guided by your nose - hams are all different. I've never worked out where my last few hamsters have done their business, and they haven't seemed to have a specific place.
