Good thinking Ria! It will be interesting to hear what they say! They have a photo of a guinea pig in it on the site! It's horrible actually - I think the colour is supposed to be copper or something. Just what is the point! And yes the side panels are just not suitable!

It basically is the Ritz in a different colour with the weird edge panels.

Re: UK Hamster Cages 2021
This is the other photo on the site of the cage from the side - with a Guinea pig in. Sides might be suitable for a guinea pig possibly but cage is too small for a guinea pig and it's described as a rat and hamster cage! Just wondering if those side pieces are separate/replaceable though - with perspex eg. Although why bother! When the Ritz is available.

A guinea pig can get their nails stuck in those silly grids.

Re: UK Hamster Cages 2021
I thought so - don't know much about guinea pigs - but it's described as a rat and hamster cage and doesn't seem suitable for either!

I hope nobody thinks of getting it for a guinea pig because not only are the sides dangerous, it is way too small.

Re: UK Hamster Cages 2021
In my email i started off by asking if the Kensington is available with normal side panels.
Maybe it's made in China and something got lost in translation like the wheels i used to buy. The box stated that they were for hamsters, guinea pigs and hedgehogs so the shop owner always crossed out the guinea pigs.
I think whoever added the photos to that site can't tell the difference between a hamster and a guinea pig.
