Yes, zoozone seems to be £77 approx these days. - I paid £48 I think for mine which is the price of the smaller one now I think.

Someone on here linked this cage recently - wasn't sure if it was on your list. A bit like a taller hamster heaven with a door on top. Grosvenor extra large hamster and rat cage. I quite like the look of it Reminds me of the older 80cm Barney cage except better door access and has a look of the Savic Plaza as well.

It was Sushi I think. No it's not on the list because it is just under 80 x 50cm. Only by 2 cm though, but you know how some people can be on social media 🙃

I'd ignore petty people like that. It's a good cage for a dwarf hamster or an elderly Syrian. There aren't that many cages with a decent front door.

I compared it to my Hamster Heaven and for all intents and purposes, they're the same size. The Grosvenor feels more spacious to me because the more square base means you can put things closer to the edges.

The Hamster Heaven isn't technically 80x50cm either. Those measurements are taken from the very ends of the clips so the base is actually 78cm. Though I know the Hamster Heaven has fallen out of favour in some groups lately as well!

That's good to know Sushi, yes I know people don't like that I included the hamster heaven in my list/video. I just don't respond back now, but basically by the time you add the bedding to the top of the base it is is 80 x 50cm.

How I see it is In the big scheme of things 2cm less is not going to be detrimental to the health of your hamster if it is happy in that cage. If it was 20cm smaller, maybe.

Common sense does have to come into these things sometimes. but not everyone sees it like that.

I think "around" 80 x 50 is a reasonable minimum size - especially when the RSPCA used to have 75cm x 45cm as a minimum for Syrians. Depending on the set up and the height helps. Plenty of people start with a smaller cage for taming and then upgrade. Ideally bigger for a syrian but I've sometimes regretted putting a baby syrian straight into a big 100cm cage instead of starting with something like 80 x 50 and then upgrading.

I'm the first person to prefer a 100cm cage for a syrian - but Pickle was happier in the 80 x 50. Ended up moving him back down to it.

Just seen this one which looks quite good! It's a 100cm cage which is 54cm deep (like the Barney used to be) and 40cm tall. So not too high but high enough. It also has what looks like a really good built in house - like the Alexander used to have. I like these - they are space saving and work as well as a labyrinth house with nest at one end and toilet at the other end.

The downsides are it only has small doors (but ok for a tame syrian perhaps) and cost is £90 odd. However I really like those built in houses. My travel cage, the Skyline Ted, has one and it has been used and enjoyed by all our hamsters.

Although it's at floor level I just put a bit of substrate inside it and pile it up outside the house leaving a gap for the door.
