Hmm tricky. Those eBay ones look ok if they fit securely enough. I guess you could always mesh the holes? Amazon has the Savic blockers but still £10.28 each. Which could go towards a new cage! V annoying that cages are so hard to come by and I think those prices are inflated as well. I’m sure the blockers used to be cheaper.

Not sure where you’re based but there’s someone selling an Alaska cage on eBay in Wakefield but it’s collection only.

Alaska Hamster Cage collection only WF2 | eBay

I'll maybe give them a shot, it's a pack of 4 which is cheaper than paying £11 for one of them I guess!
And yeah, I'm nowhere near any of the collection only cages on ebay unfortunately

I just remembered an online cage stockist that sells the sky rat. It’s a bit expensive but it’s basically two 100 cm cages on top of each other. Has narrow bar spacing. I have often been tempted by this cage as the lower part has a front opening door and it has narrow bar spacing. No need for a full level. It is called the Carlos cage in Germany but overseas postage isn’t possible right now. I also remember someone on here blocking off the access between the two to make two 100 cm cages.

The caps used to be on Amazon for about £3 each, but they don't seem to be available now.

There is a local pet shop called Scallywags which sells cages with courier delivery anywhere in the UK: Scallywags Pet Shop and Grooming Parlour - Cages for sale. The Volta looks very nice in my opinion. 100cm long, and comes with a nice built in house and platform.

Wow that is a find Sushi. The Volta does look good although personally I couldn’t get on with that one small access door at the front.

Oooh thanks for the link, I'll go check it out! And yeah, that's my back up, the P@H one - but the secondhand HH cage I'm eyeing is only £13 right now!

Yes, the tiny door is a pain, especially when taming a new hamster. If you can get the HH cheaply, it makes a good taming cage due to the large door though many Syrians will need an upgrade to something bigger later on.

I'm chuffed! I just bought a second-hand HH with all accessories plus a big trixie wheel, toys, and carrier for 50 quid delivered!
