Hi, no my hamster hasn’t stopped doing this unfortunately. When he has deep bedding and lots of enrichment he chews and climbs the bars and then falls on his back in some awful looking falls. Then, when I make the bedding etc low enough so he can’t reach the top, he chews all the little indents round the side of his cage as well as the sides when the clips are and any other part of the cage.
I have given up with the maxi multy now, especially as the inside measurements are a lot less than advertised because they measure the distance to the clips on the outside for the length and the wider lip on each side for the width. After a lot of research, I have ordered a 120x50x50 hamster tank from Junglepets. It is all glass so he can’t chew it and it is a lot taller so he can’t reach the top even with everything in. Hope this helps

Re: Ferplast multy maxi duna cage help!!!
I see, we may be in the same boat. I contacted carpenters to make me a custom cage but no one wants to take the job, one said it would be a lot more than £300 and that he wasn't interested.
There's a cage I saw on Facebook which sadly is too far away from me but looks like this: https://scontent-lhr8-2.xx.fbcdn.net...cf&oe=602F119C
She said she ordered custom made from Rabbit Enrichment Hides | Manor Pet Housing
I'm thinking either that or JunglePets, will depend on the price.

Does the JunglePets one come with an apropriate lid? How much did it cost you, if you don't mind me asking?

Hi, yes the jungle pets tanks come with an appropriate lid as they make them specifically for hamsters. They can make any size tank for you. I purchased the 122x50x50 one, it was £159 and £35 for delivery. I think it takes a couple of weeks to arrive as they have to make them first. But I have heard great reviews on it. I will attach the link for you.

My jungle pets tank has arrived and Bailey went in it yesterday. He has settled in straight away, no more stress behaviour, he is burrowing and playing. He loves the rodipet enterrado system I got him too, he is just generally looking happier. I highly recommend this tank. Thought I would just give you an update.

Your cage looks gorgeous! I'm glad your hamster is doing better now. My little girl's enclosure arrived yesterday and she also had a much better time than at her previous cage. She still tried to go beyond the glass, jumping upwards and waving her arms against the glass but I think that slowly subsided as she got used to the new environment.
I'll surely get that rodipet underground system too, that's very cool! Thanks for sharing your new cage

Excellent tank! I hope you're both going to add photos of your set ups to the "lets see your cages" thread!
