Question How to balancing house on substrate

Hi my hammy is loving her new tea bag substrate and has created burrows under her trixie house. The trouble is the house is no longer stable as it's balanced on the deep substrate. I know rodipet make a house with stilts so that would've probably been ideal in hindsight.

Any experience or thoughts on how to balance her house?

Thanks!

You could get some pieces of wood/dowels and attach them to the house, I believe Serendipity has done something like this before now.

Hi I was wondering whether the rodipet stilts might work if I just bought them.

I don't think the Rodipet stilts would work because Trixie houses are made of a thicker wood than Rodipet houses. You could buy some wooden dowels and glue them to the corners.

I use wooden dowels & glue them onto the house with ponal non toxic wood glue, I stick the dowels onto the sides of the house, on the outside so it doesn’t get in their way inside, they tend to chew them if they’re inside!
If you have the trixie house with bark on the outside the bark might just pull of if you glue anything to it though so maybe consider getting a Rodipet house.
