New cage time i think . I had a hamster get out of a hole that size and after she wandered up the road she unfortunately didn't make it home. . The hole was much smaller when i had cleaned her out the day before but she had made it bigger when she decided to go on her adventure

My, my what big teeth you've got! I'm so glad my ham doesn't like chewing (a loo roll lasts for weeks!)

What a naughty lil ham! I think like Suga says its new cage time

Thanks for everyone's suggestions and comments. I have sort of repaired the cage using vinyl floor tiles and very thick cable ties. I'm waiting to see if this can contain the little minx. I should have photo of the repair job posted next week.

RE: Hope. A loo rolls lasts my hamster about 5 minutes.

I know! Thats what I was expecting when I first got him, but he just isn't intserested in chewing anything - apart from food (and sometimes my fingers!) I have a whole stash of toilet roll tubes that are just sat in a box as I only have to change his roll every so often, he dsoen't wee in them or chew them he is a good ham

I'd hoped to get a photo of the repaired cage up on the website but I'm stuck in Italy because of all the travel chaos. My folks are looking after Evelyn and apparently she has chewed through the repairs. I think I might need to get this little lady an aquarium style cage or maybe I could make a bin cage. Oh dear.

Yes Bailey-Benji I wonder who bred a naughty wee hamster like this....
