No I would never buy this. It is much to small for any syrian (or dwarf in my opinion) The pods are small and stuffy, the wheel way too small and the whole thing expensive and hard to clean.

oh i hate habitrail ovos! i just do not see the point in them
You can't fit any toys in them, there so expensive and just not worth it.
Sorry i don't mean to start a rant here
But i do really think they are just aimed at children who don't know any better.
I'm all for colourful nice compartment designs (i have rotastak myself)
But only when you truly respect the room and care a hamster needs.
(none of this is directed at you A7X4 btw, was just putting my point across)

The RSPCA recommend a space of 3 sq ft.

I am not sure where you are but I would recommend a Savic cambridge, they are nice looking cages, have the right amount of space and can fit loads of toys

This cage is so tiny it would be like living inside a closet for a human

There are so many cages available with loads more space that are inexpensive. Please let us know your budget and how much space you have, so we can help you with suggestions and links to good cages

That ovo is more like something you'd add on to another cage. Its far to small, i dont even think theres enough ventilation there, as someone else said, no room for toys and no doubt the wheel would be to small, and theres no room to replace it. not sure if you were planning to buy this - im glad you asked on here first

I got one of the Habitrail pods to use as a sleepy house for Mo (the mini maze). The holes to access the pod from the tubes are tiny, and the turns in the tubes are very sharp - a full grown syrian hamster would find it a very tight fit.

Very claustrophobic I feel.

Sorry, but I would agree with all the other comments on here - it is just too small. It looks like a really fun cage from a 'human point of view' with the funky shapes and colours, but it just doesn't give the hammy enough floor space to run around, dig and do all the things hammys love. If you are still set on this cage perhaps you could use it as an add on to another cage with more floor area - giving your hammy the best of both?
