Default Freezing Bedding

So recently I got a 226 Liter bag of aspen bedding off of amazon. I've never ordered aspen bedding, let alone online so I had no idea how large the bag would be. It was huge. Way too big to put in our freezer, which is concerning. The majority of the ratings on amazon say that there were no mites in the bags, but there are some that say otherwise. I don't want to risk it and put it in Buttercup's cage. I don't know how to kill off any possible bugs in the bag. Not sure what to do..

Maybe put a portion in a bowl or a paper bag and freeze whatever you have room for and store it separate from the rest and freeze another portion? Because everything sits in warehouses or on trucks with other things you can't be sure that anything is mite free!

Thank you! I'll have to try that. It's unfortunate that we've stocked up on as many frozen goods as we can, otherwise this would be a much easier task
