They are fantastic enclosures. I'm looking to buy a large model to house some tree frogs, but for a hamster I personally wouldn't go for one.

I was worried about that very thing ventilation and humidity. I must say after watching many reviews and videos I found two that answered my questions.
**One was from the company's info. intro. video....
They explained how the airflow is encouraged through vents along the raised bottom half where the doors are and the full-screened roof. Showed where you can insert tubs for this and that so if you felt the need you could direct extra air into the habitat.
**The second video was from a fan.
They had a room full of every size imaginable. The important thing I took away from that video other than the fact the cages are well made, reliable and durable tried and tested. They stated that when the habitat was in the living room, not the grow room of a similar atmosphere it was hard to keep the humidity up (that's what he needed the habitat to do). That tells me there is adequate airflow.
All that great news and the fact people keep their babies in display cabinets and glass tanks all the time. There is no difference with that other than the Exo-Terra Natural Terrarium enclosure is awesome and is very secure for our little escape artist and from any small children that would be disturbing the little hammie at rest.
The doors open on the side so you do not have to reach down to your friend you can just be there. I'm sure it's not as scary to have a hand just be there then seeing the giant claw coming down to get you ; )
Now I feel it is perfectly safe for my furball I'm loving this habitat before I even buy it because it is the reflection and perfection of my personal DIY habitat.
