i've just ordered a blue and white wodent wheel for porridges savic cambridge so this is really useful!
I'd love to know if it makes a noise when attached to the bars also as this is the whole point of me buying one
I'll just have it freestanding if it does.

It is not as quiet as the Silent Spinner but he would never use his Silent spinner anymore He must have outgrown it! However it is much quieter attached to the bars than it was free standing as it used to sort of rattle against the floor of his cage. There is no rattling at all now you can only hear the motion of the wheel, but no rattling or squeeking so far I think as long as you fix the cable ties tightly all will be ok as far as noise

You need to have LOADS of patience to fix it or maybe I am just not the best at DIY!!! But it's so worth it in the end. Good luck look forward to some pics

it took me 10 minutes max and I have it going over the top I don't know if it was the practice with the senior or my dyslexic mind that helps me do these things quickly, but I am very space orientated and I am a visual learner

Yes we have one who does it. Unfortunatly you have to dismantle it to clean it but they do grow out of it a bit

it may just be because its new so he wants it to smell like him.
You could try rubbing some of his bedding on it, but you'd have to tip it out afterwards.
how easily can a wodent wheel be cleaned?
Like does both side pieces screw/come apart?

It's not the easiest thing to take apart especially with the little clip that's in it and with being in a savic cambridge with the shelves moving at the slightest thing He always does a wee in his hamster ball as well and gets covered in it so I don't put him in his ball anymore as the wee comes through all the spaces and my house would stink Just noticed he is biting the inside bar axle like mad inside the wheel. Maybe I will need to take it back out in case he cuts his mouth as he is biting it near where the little metal washer is
