Exclamation Help with securing cage.

I own a Barney cage from Zooplus, and I have came across a problem. The cage won’t shut properly on the top, probably due to how many times I needed to open it. I have had my hamster named Whipper Snapper for over half a year. Is there anything I could use to secure the top? Clips perhaps? He doesn’t try to climb the top of the cage, but I would feel safer with something closing it, especially since my brother is thinking about getting a cat.
Thank you all!
