cage set up
I'm so pleased i won two hamster cages for £10 on ebay and the woman arranged for us to pick it up next weekend
Hamster Cage on eBay (end time 12-Mar-10 14:19:22 GMT)
Hoping you can see it still?
But basically i'm really stuck on how to set it up for porridge (i'll be adding it on to his cambridge)
I don't like all the levels being really high so i'd probably like put two stories but put the two levels together to make a big one (if that makes sense )
But i have no idea what toys and stuff to put in, and how to arrange them?
Any help???
Also if someone has a cage similar to this i'd love to know how you set it up.
The other cage i won is similar but wider, purple base and more levels. I plan to use it for a group of female mice, once i convince mom

maybe i'd be better off using this
Also any ideas on what brand they are, i'd be interested to know how much they are brand new.
Thanks for any help, i'm grateful of any ideas.

Re: cage set up
Here's a kind of link but I'm on my itouch so can't copy and paste .
It's similar to this but the roof is just one not split into three. I think it's bigger too.

Re: cage set up
Your original links work fine for me
Fidget, maybe you just need to scroll down a bit to see them?
Fluffy, second one looks a good size No idea how you should set them up though

Re: cage set up
Oh my goodness I am so jealous!! I really want a little group of mice. I saw some gorgeous golden baby mice for sale at the weekend and I was sooooo tempted!! Please post some pictures when you get them!
With the first cage I think that I would take the top level out or lower it and put lots of hanging things from the roof, as it is quite a high cage, so that if hammy does take a tumble he have things to grab hold of. Maybe also put some more ramps in, to make more routes up and down.
With the second one the tubes look quite a way off the levels - not sure if little mices would be able to reach these or not?
The cages look great though, really roomy, not sure what make they are though.

Re: cage set up
For the second i would scrap the tubes and just use ladders and sticks for them to climb up. But i don't htink i'll be getting mice soon since i didn't long get porridge and my mum said no more pets!
Although she never sticks to her word
I will definitely move the levels down for the first one thanks for the help!
