How big should my bin cage be?

I was wondering if anyone new roughly how big a bin cage should be for a russian dwarf hamster as I want to make sure mine is big enough 🙂♥️

I’d recommend something with 500+square inches, as the minimum is around that, bigger is always better when it comes to cages. Go with something that means you won’t be second guessing the size, Ikea stock some great bins (good size) and surprisingly I’ve seen some around In Wilko as well

If you compare it to a reasonable size cage like the hamster heaven for example you want to be looking at something at least 80v50cm (internal measurement not external which may be bigger) I only have one bin cage which is the 145L RUB & I've found that works really well although it is a bit expensive it's very robust as well as a good size.

Thank you very much I have got a cage now and it is roughly just over 500 square inches and my hamster loves it😋🙂
