Re: Savic Hamster Heaven & Metro ideas
It is the Savic mickey 2xl. But the original blue base got broken so it has a replacement Ferplast base hence it’s a different colour. The cage is identical to the hamster heaven except it has narrow 7mm bar spacing and doesn’t have the external tubes and penthouse (or plastic shelves). Cage itself is same though.

I think getzoo is a german company like zooplus in the uk.
I have just bought the savic sky metro for one of my dwarves. Like you, i have three cages so am currently looking for ideas to set up the metro. I am planning to replace the plastic shelf with a wooden one and to take the tubes out but may keep the sputnik. I really like Serendipity's set ups.
My dwarf disappears down four different holes under various things like a teabox house, a guinea pig house, a table, bridge etc and so does my robo so they must have some kind of underground tunnel system with different sleeping places. I really don't know whether to get a labyrinth house or not. Would they use it? To make a cardboard one like Luna did may be a good idea and then to try it out before buying an expensive one.
I'm going to check out getzoo now...

Re: Savic Hamster Heaven & Metro ideas
Hi again. I just thought I’d let you know I bought two labyrinth houses from
Zooplus and one had 5 protruding nails which I found really shocking to say the least. Although they did refund me straight away it has really put me off having anything with nails in and I will without doubt be looking at the Rodipet or Getzoo options.
I did want to post the pictures but I’m rubbish and can’t work out how to reduce the size so they will upload.

That is shocking and thank you for sharing this information.
That is one of the reasons i like the Ferplast houses where individual pieces slot into each other. No nails or glue used.

Re: Savic Hamster Heaven & Metro ideas
I didn't realise the Leif house was made with nails but yes these items do need checking carefully. Nearly all the bark wood items for hamsters are made with nails. So for a hamster who chews wood it can be an issue too even if there aren't any nails protruding. Rodipet houses are made with petsafe glue. Getzoo labyrinth houses slot together - no glue or nails, like the Ferplast Sin mentioned above.
I have just taken Ria's tip of getting the guinea pig sized Ferplast sin as a support for a wheel!
Getzoo is good. They sell similar things to rodipet. I prefer the rodipet houses but getzoo do some really good platforms. I've had a platform from them.
They also do labyrinth houses. The ones for dwarf hamsters are good. The larger one for syrians I wasn't sure about as it has a little inner door that goes under the ladder that is very narrow at the top - goes to a point. I thought a hamster could get fur rub on top from using that a lot. The design for that inner door is different to the ones for the dwarf hamsters.

Re: Savic Hamster Heaven & Metro ideas
Does anyone know if the Zooplus labyrinth house is actually the Trixie one or their own version?
I am just wondering if I purchased the wrong one, they do look very similar.
