Default Temporary cage

So this is my dwarf hamsters temporary set up until his new cage arrives. It’s 2 bin cages connected with a tube and he seems to really like it. Each bin is 480 square inches. I tried to add different substrates and enrichment. One bin is more for burrowing and the other is for playing etc.

It looks amazing. Lucky hammy . I’m guessing you know about how to do the transition to the new cage to avoid stress? Main thing would be to let her settle in this one for at least 2 or 3 weeks before moving her over and then move everything over without cleaning anything, including moving the old substrate over on top of the new. It also helps to have things in a similar layout - ie wheel in same corner near house etc.

Thanks for the advice hopefully he won’t get too stressed out when moving, I’ll try to make it as easy as possible though. And yeah don’t worry, it’s gonna be a couple of weeks before i move him. I’m trying to make my own cage atm I’m just waiting on all the stuff to come, I’ve never made a DIY cage before so hopefully it goes well
