Re: Ragna - coaxing and spot cleaning
I saw a Ragna too! How did you manage to get him in that green mug? He's so huge and adorable, I'm in love.

Re: Ragna - coaxing and spot cleaning
Sorry, now I watched some of your video and saw that you already did just what I suggested...
Watching video is a bit hard for me to fit in since I'm usually on my phone with the sound off while hanging out with my kids... sorry again. Anyway, glad it worked for you, I'll try the same myself one day.

When I saw a Ragna I nearly cried! I placed a small amount of cheese in. A very small amount. When I placed the mug for him to get back in and go back to his cage he hopped in. It’s very hard because the cheese has been the first treat he has gone for. Normally it’s a head and neck views then he is gone. He is big right? I wonder if he is older than I thought...I pin him at 6 months but he might be older. He is like a guinea pig...hahahaha!

Re: Ragna - coaxing and spot cleaning
That's funny, I thought he looked long and skinnier (not in a bad way) than that brief glance we had of him right at the beginning. I also wondered if he was older than what they told you, if it was it might explain why he sleeps alot, or you may just have a lazy chilled out hamster. I understand males can be very different to females. I thought he looked very chilled out. Luna would have been investigating every bit of the travel cage you put him in. I know he had just woken up, but he just seemed to sit there.

Schwartzie, I think I may have sent multiple PMs by mistake I'm so sorry for the fat fingers!!!
Awww, that's so cute.. My hamster hates cheese, she's such an oddball.
Maybe he's just a more chilled out hamster. Does he use his wheel a lot? Yeah, he does look to be about the size of a guinea pig.

Did enjoy that video and seeing Ragna fall for the cheese treat in mug! He is a lovely looking hamster and a good size too.

Move over Agatha. Schwartzie, there was more suspense in that video than in any thriller. The build up to finally see a whole Ragna was unreal. He's lovely and looks so healthy. What a handsome hamster man!

What beautiful coloring he has! A real charmer. That’s great that you finally coaxed him out fully. Good luck figuring out where the wee is ending up.

Your advice was spot on...thank you so much. I feel your pain too...it’s really hard to bond when they wake up late. Our baby is in the same area as Ragna as we have open plan in our home so its impossible to interact late at night. I’m waiting to go to the shops and get a usb to put in the camera to see what he is up to.

Thank you...lol..I’m determined to find that pee! Next week I’m hunting along the sides of his nesting box.
