Giant Trixie Wheel
I got my Male Syrian Bert one of the largest Trixie Wheels as he's quite a big lad now (3 months since I got him) & I was worried he couldn't stretch out properly in ithe medium size Trixie anymore.
He loves it but it worries me as the base moves all over his Barney cage when he's running at fast speeds & it seems to lean over slightly. I don't want to find him trapped under it in the morning.
Is the anyway to anchor the wheel somehow?
I stuck with Trixie as it has a solid running surface unlike the Wodent Wobust but the Wodent seems to sit more steadily to me my only concern being the join in the wheel track that he might get his foot stuck in.
Would appreciate any advice.

Re: Giant Trixie Wheel
I haven't set up my cage yet but I was going to try one of two things.
1. I was going to look to see if I could get cable ties around the part that lies behind the wheel..that piece of wood along the back. I was then going to cable tie it to the cage or drill holes and cable tie it. I would try turn it upside down as well to see if that worked. The base might get in the way though.
2. I would drill holes in the base, turn it upside down and attach it to the ceiling and hang it that way.
When I used to do DIY projects and didn't have a drill I used to mark the holes then would go to the local hardware store and ask the people working there if they couldn't drill holes for me. Someone always helped me.
