Red face Wheel is not working

Hello! My Syrian hamster Coconut has been using the [B]Kaytee Silent Spinner[B] because he is way too loud on the wheel but somehow the silent wheel is making noise! Do you have any ideas of a wheel that is silent that is big and stable enough for a big hamster? Or is there any other type of exercise for him? Thank you!

Not sure which size you have but none of the silent spinners make the best options unfortunately. The syrian sized 12” one isn’t what I’d call silent or quiet even and there are better options. The silent runner - the 12” one would be a good size and silent runners are very quiet wheels.

Sorry to hear that. There have been a lot of issues with Silent Spinners and sometimes they won't even spin! Have you had it long? If you bought it recently I would take/send it back and ask for a refund and get a different wheel. If you can't do that then would suggest getting a different wheel anyway.

Which country are you in so we can recommend reliable wheels!

Best options in the US are:

1) 12" Silent Runner - this is actually silent - has ball bearings, spins really well and has a safe sturdy stand. It's 35cm tall on its stand. I have this wheel and it's great for a Syrian.

2) 11" Wodent wheel - silent runner is better Wodent wheel is more space saving but fiddly to keep stable sometimes.

3) 10" Carolina Storm Wheel - height adjustable and sturdy - only really for small to average sized Syrians. Quite deep and bulky in a cage.
