I went round the houses for a long time trying to decide on a cage - I actually wanted something like the Savic plaza (which didn't exist then) - looked at almost every cage possible and ended up deciding on the Alexander - which was out of stock for ages so got the Barney! Should have just got it in the first place.

In the end i bought the Alaska because i wanted the big doors front and top. Henry was happy in his 70x45 cage so didn't feel that i compromised on size. Not sure if he prefers this cage to the old one but he does like to sit in the coconut which was the only addition. I've put a card cover on during the day when its sunny to make it even more shady.

I had the alaska before I bought the savic plaza. I loved it. Yours looks fab, I like how you decorated the base on the outside.

Thank you all for the compliments. I just came home from work to find Henry's little face poking out from the coconut. Hamsters are so cute!
