Question Help with bin cages!

Hey! I’m looking to make a bin cage, but I can’t find a box I could use in the uk that is suitable, and I would like some advice.
If you know of any sutablie boxes I could buy in the uk, please let me know. Thank you.
Here is a Link to the biggest box I could find:

I can't get your link to work but if it's 68L it's going to e way too small.
Which species is it for?
The 145L RUB is a fairly good size but more suited to a dwarf ham than a syrian, for a Syrian you really want something around 100cmx50cm.

Again the Samla might make an ok dwarf home but I wouldn’t say it’s great for long term Syrian housing really, you’d find it very limiting so it depends on what hamster you’re going for.

The Samla is fine for a Russian dwarf but the other species do better with 80x50cm - 100x50cm cages. I think Chinese hamsters can also be kept in smaller setups but I’ve never owned one so I’m not 100% certain.

The 145l RUB bin is the best size bin cage. It isn't that big for a Syrian, but the depth makes up for it somewhat, so it would be ok. The Samla bin isn't big enough for a syrian - it slopes in a lot at the bottom. The RUB bin isn't cheap though, so if you're thinking of a bin cage as a cheaper option, then the Alaska cage is a cheaper option and no diy. It's a good size for a Syrian.

I am planning on getting a Syrian from a local breeder, so I wanted a bin cage so that he/she has loads of room for toys and borrowing. Many wire cages aren’t deep enough and I’d rather not get a aquarium/detolf. The Alaska cage looks good. I really like DIY projects, so I really wanted to make a bin cage. If there are no suitable options, I would rather not DIY and make my hamster happy.
Thank you for all the advice

The Alaska is the smallest you’d want to go for a Syrian so I wouldn’t personally recommend it - bigger would be better. It also doesn’t have much burrowing room at all so if you’re looking for that you’ll want a tank of some kind - eco habitat or similar, they’re somewhat moveable unlike a tank but they’re more money. Floor space wise something the size of the Barney (zooplus) or more would be good.

If you like DIY have you considered a DIY cage from scratch? Wood and plexiglass generally, some people do DIYs with things like Ikea lack tables too.

How much floor space do you recommend? The SALMA bin from ikea has 660sq inches but I’ve been told it is too small. The Alaska has even less space and I don’t really like the fact it’s a wire cage due to bar chewing. Is there anything that would work for a Syrian? It needs to be able to fit a 11” wheel and still have 6 inches of bedding so that the hamster can burrow.
