Funko Pops In Cages?
hi there i have a roborovski hamster and i love giving her fun toys and different things to make her cage more colourful and stuff for her to see. i have a large collection of funko pops and wasnt sure if they are pet safe? i feel like the plastic wouldnt be safe, but then again she has other plastic stuff in her cage, so i could do with some advice If you dont know what a funko pop is its a solid plastic figurine of popular characters.
Heres a pic of funk pops so you can see for yourself:
Im very new to owning a hamster so sorry if this is a stupid question, just trying to make my hamsters life more interesting

Wouldn’t put things like that or anything plastic & easily chewable for that matter. The feet etc are very easy to get teeth around on that and I highly doubt it’s safe to chew. Best stick to more natural items - cork, wood and things like that. That’ll provide much more enrichment than what a figurine would offer.

Re: Funko Pops In Cages?
They’re made with very soft plastic so they’re likely to get chewed and if your ham swallows the plastic, could result in life-threatening blockages. Personally I don’t lile to use any soft plastics in my setups for that reason, I know a lot of people use plastic without an issue but that figurine would make a very interesting chew toy with all its different shapes and stuff.
Invest in some cork and wooden toys, and natural chews, they’ll create a much more enriching environment for her. Robos especially seem to thrive in natural setups. Does she have a sandbath? Robos are desert animals and need a large sandbath in their cages.

A lot of people do use plastic items (think Hamster Heaven). A lot depends on whether your ham is a chewy hamster or chews plastic generally - but I agree that the small parts like feet could be chewed off. On the other hand plenty of people have had the little plastic tv toy in a cage without issue - but it didn’t have feet Out of the cage you can use all kinds of things with supervision.
We have the Bobba Fett funko pop
