Looking for chew-proof Syrian hamster cages?
Hey, I've had my Syrian for just under a year now and have had two cages for him already. The first one was an all wire cage and he used to chew the bars a lot - I put this down to it being too small and so we bought a larger cage (pets at home 'large plastic hamster home')
With this cage, he didn't stop chewing the bars and actually ended up cutting just above his nose where he was chewing so vigorously. So we've had to remove the middle wire level and he now just has the bottom bin to roam about in on one level. However, I feel like this isn't big enough for him and he's getting bored.
I've been googling for hours trying to find a well-ventilated cage that doesn't have any chewable bars, however this is very rare to find.
Just looking for any advice and if you've got any better suggestions?
