Default moving cage to another room

Hi all, iv'e just moved my hamsters cage to another room as my bedroom is too hot.

The room is practically empty as my sister has just moved out and is very quiet, but also very echoy.

I don't spend any time in the room iv'e moved him in, but will see him when i take him out to go in his ball etc

Will him living in an empty room like this cause stress/depression?

Thanks!
