Tried Something Different Tonight...
... after reading on here. I added smallish bits of 'quality' (yes, only the best for Suzie ) Sainsbury's kitchen towel. Well!!!.... she immediately zapped up a piece and dragged it into her egg box. A couple of hours later... a couple more pieces are missing...in the egg box I presume?
Such funny characters.

Re: Tried Something Different Tonight...
I did this with toilet roll the other day
My female hamster Skittles, dived into it and got all excited...whereas my male hamster Sprout sat there and sniffed it before carrying it to his bed
Lovely creatures ^_^

They love to take it in a shred it up! I have known hamsters be gived a whole rolled up roll of loo roll and allowed to gradually nibble it and get bits off to make nests

Re: Tried Something Different Tonight...
I've never really thought of just giving peggy a piece to shred herself! I've always just give her shredded tissue (woops :S) now i will definitely try giving her a piece to shred herself. Who know she might ignore it, she can be quite lazy She sleeps in a fleece cozy sack so she doesn't use much nesting material anyway.

Re: Tried Something Different Tonight...
Chewy is rubbish with it! He uses it like a blanket over his nest, but doesn't seem fussed about chewing it up. Hopefully that will change with the smart price loo rolls comeing tonight for him?!
