Sand bath advice?
My hamster, Oz, has a sand bath in his cage and I used children's play sand from Homebase for it, but it seems rather thick? As in, it isn't wet sand but it's thick and moldable like wet sand is.
He digs and burrows in it so he doesn't seem too concerned, but I've noticed videos of hamsters and sand baths I've watched seems to feature much thinner sand and was just wondering if this is okay or if it will affect his health?

Re: Sand bath advice?
We bake ours first to ensure it is clean and dry. The argos sand is very nice and soft and fine in my experience though

Re: Sand bath advice?
Oh, awesome! Thanks so much
We were gonna oven bake it when we replace it on Friday during his first clean-out... Glad to know it works!
