Heated dome house

Has anyone had any experience with heated houses? I just came across one on ebay and I've never seen it before. It's basically a little plastic house that you plug in and it gets warm.

I'm not sure if I like the idea of my hamster being in something that is electrical

Do you think I should try one? x

Absoutely not, no O_o You cannot regulate the temperature of one of those things, and a cable is just too tempting not to nibble on. it's a disaster waiting to happen.

Plenty of nesting material is the way to go

Thats exactly what I thought. Its just because I'd never seen one before, I suddenly thought maybe I should be using one to keep them nice and warm. They have fur and plenty of bedding though, so I think you're right!

OMG how unsafe is that

I hope no-one buys one. That could electrocute a hamster as well as an owner. It would way overheat the animal too!

It said it was for hamsters. I have done a quick search and can't see any others online anywhere at all! It actually says hamsters, gerbils and other rodents. I just tried to report them to ebay but there is no option suitable at all
